Trevor Steele - New Owner

Trevor Steele officially took 100% ownership of PPG Smoke in January 2026, and hit the ground running. The focus was simpe: top notch customer service, fast shipping times, improved products, and expanding the product lineup. Trevor's journey in paramotoring began way back in 2012 when he took his first flight. Since then, his life has been fueled by burning passion for flying and has led him to teach over 700 students through his paramotor school, Backcountry PPG. Recently, Trevor also found a passion for developing products that serve the paramotor community and work daily on bringing the best products possible to the marketplace.

 

Mike Wingard - Chief Fun Officer & Head Mechanic

Mike is the backbone of this entire operation, keeping the team energized and motivated to push forward. His nonstop smile, excitement for life, and burning passion for helping others shine through in everything he does. Mike has a diverse background, including martial arts, running a heating and cooling business, and, in recent years, assisting Trevor in managing Backcountry PPG's beginner and adventure paramotor training programs. Mike started flying in 2018, and you can still find him in the air at every opportunity!

 

Jordan Schanze - USA Shop Manager

Jordan's passion for paramotoring began long before he could even drive. He first touched a wing around 2007 at the young age of 7. From that moment, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life involved in flying in any way he could. His love for flying and teaching is evident in every conversation, and the moment you see him strap into a glider, he lights up like a kid on Christmas morning. It doesn't matter what he's doing; he is just thrilled to be flying!
