Our top recommendation for an action camera is the DJI Osmo Action 6. Our top recommendation for a 360 camera is an Insta360 X5. We generally recommend using an action camera over a 360 camera because of the risk of damaging the lense. If you're launching from grass, turff, or other soft surface similar to those, a 360 camera is a great option.

First time using the Chase Cam behind my Trike. Assembly was straight foward, setup to the glider simple. Used an older GOPRO Hero 7. Chase Cam launched easy, was very stable, got some great video. Will set the camera on a wider video view next time for a better result. Chase cam performed as expected.
It doubles as a ground cam tripod when not in use as a Chase cam. Compatible with my Akaso cam. The chase cam was super easy to assemble in a minutes. PPG Smoke is a great company and Trevor was very helpful!
The PPG Smoke chase cam seems to have just the right drag and has safely captured some pics of dynamic maneuvering. While flying I slung the Smoke chase cam into a boulder and my GoPro broke off and was lost. A testament to how well the PPG Smoke chase cam is made, it survived the impact and can still be used. I travel a lot and like how compact it breaks down for travel. I love mine!
This is the second ppgsmoke chase camera I’ve bought, this time as a birthday gift. It’s simple, reliable and robust. It’s never interfered with the flight characteristics of my wing. I’ve never had it tangled in my lines and it’s never impacted with my prop. Over all a good bit of kit!!

Absolutely love the PPG Smoke chase cam! Very simple, easy to use and you can’t beat the price. The clip is a dual purpose safety fuse to protect the pilot in case of a snag, the line is spongy without being so springy that it bounces around, and above all it just produces great shots from a great point of view. One of the best “bang for your buck” purchases that you can get for your flying experience.
Love this chase cam! Super easy to assemble and balance. I've been flying with it for several years now, and I've had zero issues. You forget it's even attached to your wing. Gives an amazing perspective, and flies super smooth. I've tried multiple chase cams and this one has been the best by far, just make sure to kite the wing up before flying to ensure the line is long enough that it doesn't fly into your prop upon landing. Get one you won't regret it!

It’s a fantastic product! I have had this for several months and I’ve had no problems. Very quick delivery and included spare parts. More than exceeded my expectation, get one if you’re considering, it adds a whole new angle to taking videos of your 👍🏼😀
It's all good capturing footage as usual. But the materials used to make it is brittle in the cold My opinion make it simular but use a rubberized material that won't freeze stiff like how Artic Extension cords stay pliable at -0 IDK something better anyways. Then it will be able to take the abuse during every crash landing. Sure nice to try it though. Thanks!

I've done some pretty extreme paramotor road trips, and this has always been my number one tool to capture that unique paramotor perspective. Nothing else holds up to the challenge!!!
